Dear Friends,

I need your help to bring a $5000 grant to a great nonprofit in Knox County. The Knox County Community Foundation provides many scholarships and grants each year throughout our communities and will use this grant to make a real difference in Knox County.   Monsanto sponsors this program and one grant is available to each eligible county.  Because Knox County has been designated by the USDA as a drought disaster county, they will double the normal $2500 grant and give $5000 to a not-for-profit in our county!  

All you have to do is register online at www.growcommunities.com or call 1-877-267-3332.  Click on "Enroll" and fill in the information needed. List the Knox County Community Foundation in the blank labeled "recipient name."  It really only takes a minute to enroll.  Anyone who farms 250 acres of corn or soybeans, 40 acres of open field vegetables; or at least 10 acres of protected culture vegetables is eligible.  If your name is selected, the not-for-profit you designated will receive $5000.  I hope that will be the Knox County Community Foundation. 
 
Please send this on to all of your farmer friends that might be able to help with this project.  It is an easy way to give something back to your community!
